Since ultimate comfort while riding is one of the main aims of motorcycle buyers, many Harley Davidson riders are more concerned with the height of the seat. This would give them a relaxed, more convenient cruise with the confidence that they can lay their feet flat on the ground whenever needed. Yes, we can say that bikes can be ridden even without having the foot flat on the ground, but to keep the rider in control while maintaining full balance when at full stop, the height of the Harley-Davidson seat is very important.

The seat's main purpose of course is to keep the rider in a comfortable position while traveling. A Harley-Davidson seat is very effective in this. However, you might not be aware that each seat is different from each other.

Having said that, it must be noted that each Harley-Davidson model has different seat height.

The list below contains the seat height of the 2006 Harley-Davidson models. The figure on the left is in inches. The right column is the list of 2006 Harley-Davidson models.

The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC) is a world-wide motorcycle club whose members typically ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles. In the United States and Canada, the Hells Angels are incorporated as the Hells Angels Motorcycle Corporation.

Some members of the Hells Angels and other motorcycle clubs nickname themselves "one-percenters" in response to the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) claim, made after the infamous Hollister affair, that ninety-nine percent of motorcyclists were law abiding citizens, and the other one percent were troublemakers giving everyone else a bad name.

The motorcycle and the open road have always been metaphors for freedom. Between Kerouac's "On the Road" and Persig's "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", the counterculture embraced that ideal and roared with it. Shocking Blue did two B-sides, "Harley Davidson" (1969) and "Get It On" (1975), that tread that path.

About SHOCKING BLUE: They started as a male rocking quartet in Holland who had the good fortune to replace their lead singer with Mariska Veres. Doe-eyed and direct, Mariska belted it out with the best of them. They broke through worldwide with the #1 smash, "Venus," in 1970. Time has borne out the depth of their work; their catalog is rich with strong melodies in varied styles which have given them a cult following. Artists as diverse as BANANARAMA ("Venus") to NIRVANA ("Love Buzz"), the PRODIGY ("Phoenix" uses "Love Buzz") and FATBOY SLIM (sampled "Send Me a Postcard") have tributed them. Mariska's tough wail was the foil for the deft guitar work of Robbie van Leeuwen, a tasteful and inspired player who is much underrated. Their work from 1968 to 1975 is great stuff. Even a few reunion singles in '86 and '94 hold the chemistry. Sadly, Mariska passed in December of 2006, and this is dedicated with respect to her.
